Dear Friends,
Our 2nd webinar themed on What’s New at the intersection of Quantum & Cyber Security held on 17th July was a grand success. We are grateful to Vivek Shenoy & Devika Sharma for delivering an insightful talk. We are thankful to Balaji Sir, Deepak Talwar & Sony Anthony for joining the panel discussion with Vivek and Devika.
The event was well received by all participants. We conducted a poll asking the participants about would Quantum make Cyber world safer or complex. 70% of the participants voted that Quantum would make Cyber World safer.
The 5th Women in Quantum Summit is due today. This summit is being jointly organized with Keysight Technologies and IonQ. The event is complimentary, but registration is essential. This is a 2-day Summit, and the day wise breakup is as below.
19th July – Quantum Communications Current and Future State
20th July – Quantum Stories from around the Globe
Join us at the keynote, networking, cocktail hours and group selfies. Here’s the link to register…

Volkswagen has begun using Quantum Computers
Volkswagen is pouring billions of dollars on the future of personal transportation, particularly electric automobiles. Volkswagen is one of the world's largest and most successful automobile manufacturers, having its hands in a variety of initiatives, the majority of which the public is unaware of. Quantum computing has even been included into the company's paint booths, where computers employ algorithms to optimize paint shop productivity while minimizing assembly time. Quantum computing is also being used by the firm to estimate car price and where electric charging stations should be placed for optimal efficiency. "We're not interested in conducting research for the sake of conducting research. We want to take this technology out of the lab and into the real world "Volkswagen Group Director Florian Neukart stated.

Four steps for better experimentation of Quantum in Enterprise
While quantum technologies are still in their infancy, businesses are already planning forward, with quantum computing investment expected to rise from $260 million in 2020 to $9.1 billion by 2030, according to Tractica research. Quantum computing is quickly progressing, and it is on pace to address extremely difficult business issues through improved optimization, machine learning, and simulation. With enterprise quantum applications likely to be available in as little as five years, organizations should start preparing now by creating a business and IT strategy that supports quantum innovation at scale. The article outlines four key actions that businesses should follow to ensure the success of their quantum planning and testing.

How would Quantum revolutionize Retail industry
According to serial entrepreneur and technology guru John Straw, the store of the future will leverage the power of data, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality. According to John Straw, the future of retail belongs to merchants that invest aggressively in “cutting-edge technology—not thinking about how it impacts the P&L, but how it increases the value of the business to the consumer.”
